1964 Austin A40 Farina
The Austin A40 Farina was introduced in 1958 by Austin. It was designed as a small family car with a capacious interior. Even today you are struck by the space when you first get inside it. In a big step forward for car design, the car was styled by Pininfarina in Italy which gave it a super-modern look when it was first launched. Although commonly referred to as the A40 Farina, it was badged simply as the Austin A40.
The engine is the A-series 948cc, and in our car this starts, runs and drives superbly. The gearchange is smooth and there are no rattles or knocks from the car. The interior has the lovely patina of a 60s car and the bodywork is virtually unmarked.
We are selling this car with an MOT to April 2018 and a warranty. Recorded mileage is 65,000, and the MOT history print-out confirms that is has been MOTd every year since 2006. The original handbook and workshop manual comes with the car.
The car can be viewed at our Grantham showroom, and we welcome visitors. Why not give us a call on 01476 563001 to arrange a viewing and test drive.
