The ever popular Austin 1100 with an incredible history record.

Imagine a record of every fill up with fuel, every journey, every cost from 1974 through to 2014. Well that is what this Austin 1100 Mark 3 has! From the first lady owner through to the third and last owner everything has been recorded in a notebook. With just 62000 miles on the clock in its 44 years, this car is a real time warp.

The Austin 1100 was launched in 1962 and production continued until 1974, in Mark I to Mark III versions. Over 2.1 million of these little cars in various guises were sold between these years. Badge engineering included Austin, Morris, Riley, Wolseley, Vanden Plas and MG variants. These cars all used 1100cc or 1300cc A-series engines, including the sought after 1300GT which used the Cooper-S tuned version of the powerplant.

Our car here is a neat and tidy 1100cc version which has been very well looked after and is totally original. At some point, recorded in the notebook, the car has had some paintwork and body tidying, and the engine starts instantly and like all the A-Series engine is smooth and economical.

Everywhere the Austin 1100 goes it attracts admiring attention, and many people can relate to it, with parents, grandparents, driving instructors etc having owned one. We thoroughly recommend this car and welcome any visit and test drive. As value for money, it is doubtful that there are many like it.
