1967 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III
Here we have a 1966 BJ8 Austin Healey 3000 which is now MOT’d and has just received UK registration.
The Austin Healey is an iconic car, having been designed by Donald Healey at around the same time as Austin was producing the ill-fated A90 Atlantic. The Atlantic was intended to tap into the American sports car market, but was not a success. The following year, at the Motor Show, Leonard Lord of Austin approached Healey and said that “I will build this car for you”, and so a deal was agreed whereby the car would be named the Austin Healey. Rallying and motor racing success followed, with Pat Moss winning many races in the cars.
Our car has undergone a lot of work mechanically and bodywise whilst in Canada and is a superb driving vehicle. It starts, stops, handles and performs beautifully. The Ivory paintwork is relatively recent, as is the retrimmed red interior. The walnut fascia is excellent and the soft top is in good condition is in excellent condition. The car is LHD, but can be converted to RHD on request at an additional cost of £4500.
The Austin Healey 3000 is a car that is rapidly increasing in value. We now have 5 Healeys in various conditions and can build a car to a customers specification. Our car here is priced to sell and allows for owner improvements in the future. We sourced and imported this car from Canada ourselves, and it is obvious that much money has already been spent on the car.
We recommend a visit and a drive in this iconic British car.
